QVD file not getting updated

Hi,

Extract job is getting failed while storing one QVD which is throwing general script error. When Observed that particular qvd is locked/ opened in another qlikview file., I tried to rename or delete the QVD but its not happening. Pls Suggest

did you kill the process (or wait the end) of the process that blocked the qvd?

on your pc with the task manager

if the problem is on a server in the status tab of the QlikView Management Console you can abort the locking task

Hi ,

From services tab ,Stop all Qlikview services and then use via services start.

Hi, john lewis.

Case not finding who has opened by last. The last chance is reset Qlikview Server. So, will can overlap qvd.

Hi John,

A quick check.

1.Double check your QVD output path.

2.Reboot your machine and close remaining applications,folders when you are executing qvw file.

HI Jhon,

I had the similar issue earlier. It will happen in one case as I had faced.

If any of your 2 qvw tasks are running parlelly and trying to overide the same qvd file it will happen. check that your qlikview publisher task is triggering 2 subsequent reload tasks of 2 QVWs..and those both tasks are trying to overide one qvd at a time.
