Hi,

I have created the Calender control. Intially the value is blank in the Calender control. Once the date is selected the value remains the same i.e the last selected date. Is it possible to make/reset the value as blank in the calender control??????

Hi,

I have a requirement where as user will choose the from and to dates based on which the data has to be displayed. I have created the Calender Object for From Date and To Date with the Expression/Database field. But what ever the date i am choosing in From Date the same is reflecting in To Date and Vice Versa.

Also i have tried creating the Calender Object using the variable where as by providing the min and Max value. But calender is showing only one month where as there is large amount of date is there .Almost three years.

Can somebody help me how to over come this.

Hi,

I guess you are using the same field in both the calendar object. Create a seperate date field from the existing table and keep it as a stand alone table. So now you will have 2 date fields (1st in the original table and 2nd from new stand alone table)

Use these two fields in each calendar object and map them to two variables. Use these variables in the set expression to calculate the value for the date range.

Thanks for your response. Thats true i am using the same field for the From Date and To Date. Are you saying even if i am going to use the variable the From Date and To Date should not be on the same field.

I am used your solution using by creating the calender table for testing and it is working. I will replicate based on the database field and update the forum.

Yes, you cannot use the same field to select different values in two objects. Because, when you select a date in first object the field selection will be the same in the other object also, since they both refer the same field

Thanks for your suggestions.

I have created the Calender object with Expression option and dates are getting displayed in the drop down. If i am selecting the date from the drop down or from the calender option. The selected date is not getting displayed. Please find the attached Screen shot.

Send your document so that we can work on it. It it is too confidential just load only the date field from database source and send it. It will be easy for us to work with it.

If not try to scramble the data and send it.

Hi,

Since the data is confidential. i have taken the data in to excel only with the date column and i am trying to upload the Excel to the QVW file. But while upload the dates(format Date time) are shown with some values in QliKView where as in Excel it is showing with the date format.

Is it the functionality if the data is in Datetime format it will show as numeric values instead of the datetime format in QlikView. Will the calender object support the datetime format or only the date format.

Attached the excel sheet for your reference.

Hi XXX,

Please check the attached document. I made it to some extend but one problem is there in that. In the end date for the date selected it shows date-1. So need to check with that why it is happening so. Other than that it is fine i think.

I am not sure what calender will support. I think it will only support the date format not the datetime format.

Let wait and see what others reply for us.

Hi Rikab,

I am also working on same problem. I tried with your document. I have come across a problem i.e I could not clear the selections once I choose the start date and end date.

Any suggestions.
