Error message in Event log

Hi everyone

Our QVS server restarted 6 times on one day. We have seen a lot of warning in the event log on this server as following:

Exception: Caught ... exception in doc[XXXX Accesspoint/<Doc. name>.qvw], sheet[Competitive Trend], chart[Document\CH_COMPETE_TREND]: ChartFunctions.cpp at 3038

Do you know what this warning is about?

Currently we have an issue on this server with high memory usage due to a single application (the same application as mentioned in the warning as "<Doc. name>.qvw"). This memory issue gets the QVS server to restart a couple of times a week.

But we have only seen the mentioned warning above on this particular day and not other times when server restarts.

Do you have any idea about this warning?

Have you tried adding more ram to the machine?

We have two frontend servers each with 256 GB RAM.

Have you analyzed the document that's causing the memory problems? Are there charts that take a lot of memory to calculate? Does the lower list on the Sheets tab of the Document Properties window show any objects with extreme Memory and/or CalcTime values? Have you tried running the Document Analyzer on your problem document?
