why we adding (qvd) at last?

Hi All ,,

I have one question here when we are storing or loading any qvd file like below

load Name, RegNo from xyz.qvd (qvd);

why we are using (qvd); while in txt format we are not writing this (txt).

Hi,

I think, it is the General Structure of Load the QVD file. (we don't want to set the specification items when we load QVD)

Regarding ,Text, excel or some other source we need to set some specification items like..

Load
Fields

FROM
Source.txt
(txt, utf8, embedded labels, delimiter is ',', msq);

From Help,

I think we can store the QVD file without (qvd)..

(txt) is the optional default-setting and therefore could be left - but I recommend to use as best practices always a file format specification.
