Killed because Named User Cal was needed from another client

Hello community

There are several users in our enviroment and they open documents with QV Plugin and using Named Cals.

We expirience that when named cal is used by different machines the session is interrupted and the filters are lost.

The logfiles are saying the following:

"Killed because Named User Cal was needed from another client"

Option in QMC:

"Allow Only One Copy of Document in Memory" is unchecked

"Allow license lease" is checked

"Allow dynamic CAL assignment" is checked

In document settings > server:

"Client triggers the refresh" is set.

Is there a setting to prevent this?

I think it's a normal behavior of QlikView Server. It prevents using NUM user license as shared by multiple people.

Ok sounds legit.

So either there are enought Named Cals or for heavily used documents a document licence is used?

And as I understood when 10 ppl want to view the same document from diff machines we need 10 doc licences,

correct?

Hi!

That's correct. You can make your document in a way to include maximum information for people so that they don't need more then one document in their work. This approach will reduce amount of NUM license.
