Direct Discovery Qlikview-data refresh ?

Dear Team,

Can you please let me know when the dynamic data Is loaded? Is the data loaded full or partially per user request for direct discovery?

I WANTED TO KNOW

A) IF CHARTS USING DIRECT DISCOVERY DIMENSION AND MEASURES ARE AUTO REFRESHED??

SAY I HAVE STRAIGHT TABLE WITH FILEDS (VENDOR) AND EXPRESSION AS AS (COUNT(DISTINCT IMEI) .

VENDOR IS DIMENSION

AND IMEI IS MEASURE.

I RELOAED THE QVW AND CHARTS ARE SHOWN WITH DATA.

NOW THE QUESTION IS THAT THSI DATA GETS AUTOREFESHD FROM DATABASE

(I:E NEW VENDOR AND ITS COUNTS ARE VISBLE) WITHOUT RELOAD AGAIN???

OR IT WILL JUST UPDATE THE MEASURE BASED ON SELECTION OF EXISTING DIMESION?

Please guide.

The dimensions are only updated on reloads. The measures are refreshed when selections are changed - not a completly auto refresh. Furthermore there is a caching mechanism involved so refresh on the measures isn't done with every selection if they fall inside the direct cache interval.

Bottom-line Direct Discovery is not real-time.

The caching time can be set with a Environment Variable in Qlik Sense / QlikView:

SET DirectCacheSeconds= 15;
