Hi

I have a requirement that I have rebuild a Qlikview application pointing to a different data source , may be most of the columns names might remain same .. but this application is having 146 variables defined .. mostly in places where it is not really required... my question is it ok to have so many variables in an application or its better to reduce the variables? .. does the performance of application differ with have too many variable and or not .. please suggest

Thank you!

See something on this here -

Impact of Unwanted Variables on Performance

But I feel only first time when chart is clicked the conversion happens, after that QV should be storing calculated stuff in Cache and usage/impact of variables is based on usage of individual charts.

It is always good to remove unwanted stuff since QV is in-memory product and RAM space is the core behind good performance.
