How to separate fields/load data from .CSV file

Hi all,

I have a requirement in which I need to import the data from .CSV file. I am able to do it but the problem is QV is not able to separate out the values. It is taking all the values in a single field only. For example Ph no, Email, First name, Last name should be different different fields and the values shouuld should display corrresponding to the fields. But I am not able to figure it out. Any help is appreciated.

Since this site doen't support .CSV doc for uploading, I have attached the snapshot of it.

Any help is highly appreciated.

open file wizard and select delimited and the delimiter you use for example ;.

Hello, Sharma

You should use a table file wizard for loading your csv file, in this wizard you should select in "Delimeter" option value "<Custom...>", then in pop-up window you should find your symbol - "|" (number - 124) and after this QlikView will load your file correctly
