Storing a table as a xml file

Hi,

I have a table in which the dimensions and expressions are chosen by the user.(something like ad-hoc report in expense management.qvw sample.)

I wanted to write a module to save the data of this table into a xml file and send it through a web service to another client.

how can I perform this?

actually I have read the link provided by Stefan Walther described here:

but it didn't work for me and I got error.
