Getting 'HTTP code 407 Proxy authorization required' while connecting TFS

The above thread was never answered and I find myself with the same problem

I connect to the internet through a company proxy which is setup correctly/globally in Internet Explorer.

When trying to use the 64-bit version of QliKView with the 32bit MSSCCI Provider for TFS (the 64bit provider provides an error likely because Qlik want's a 32bit). I receive the below error messages:

I can connect to Visual Studio Online via Visual Studio 2013 Team Explorer no problems in both 32bit and 64bit. I have changed visual studio settings files to ensure that the the default internet explorer proxy is used for all connections.

I'm at a loss here - anyone care to shed some light onto it?

A colleague was able to use the same setup of Team explorer with 32 bit driver but NOT behind a proxy and it worked fine.

So it's likely to do with the proxy - perhaps a security certificate error? perhaps the way in which the proxy authenticates?
