Bookmarks to different enviroment?

Hi All,

Is it possible to transfer bookmarks from IE Plugin Client Dashboard in one environment to Ajax Dashboard in completely different environment by copying the .SHARED files across?

Yes, Nicholas. Thats correct. Bookmarks are stored in .Shared file. Moving the .shared file will help to migrage the bookmarks as well.

Hi,

We moved dashboard to different environment.

I copied the .shared file from existing IE Client dashboard to new environment AJAX client dashboard, but bookmarks are not transferred. Not sure why.

Can any on pls help?

One thing which came to my mind is using Power Tools 1.2 for QlikView

SharedFileViewer has option to Repair legacy shared files, maybe it will help

(remember to backup original shared file first)

Provides insight into the QlikView Server .shared files belonging to .qvw documents. The .shared file stores server data such as server/shared bookmarks, server objects (charts and objects created by a client via the server), annotations and other data that is specific to the document. The tool visualizes the content of the binary .shared file and provides options to "Repair" legacy files, as well as defrag large .shared files.
