See attachment for an example.

There 3 three selection possibilities for the end user:

1. dims

2. expressions

3. date dimensions (Current Year, last 8 weeks etc)

The dims en expressions work with the normal conditional show as we all know it.

The date are in states. Bases on the date dim selections the expressions are multiplied with a specific flag, which are created in the load script.

This solution make it possible to reduce the number of conditional expressions that should be created. In my real world solution i have like 10 expressions and 10 date selections. So this would mean i have to create (and maintain) 10x10x2 conditional expressions.

The down side is that you can only show the data for the current year, because the flags are set in the load script.

My Question : Does anyone know a solution to make this more flexible? So that it is possible to select a Year or a Year-Week and implement the known "point in time" solution for example, without creating any more condition expressions?

Thanks in advanced

No, because this is only a FY comparison, i would also like to compare between with these for example : Last 8 weeks, Last 4 weeks, YTD, This week, previous week LY etc. And this should be depended on the Year or Week that is selected. I guess that selection should be in a separate listbox.
