    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Take a look on the compressing-settings of this application then if this application is compressed it might be a lot bigger within the RAM - depending on the kind of data within it it could be easily a factor of 8 which would lead to a real filesize of 20 GB and which is more than you have on RAM.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To open the application you could open them without data:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="" class="jive-image image-1" src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/149129_pastedImage_0.png" style="max-width: 1200px; max-height: 900px;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and then to check the compression setting and then to reload the application within the debugger with a reduced number on records and afterwards you could check the datamodel to synthetic keys, the use of the document analyzer from Rob Wunderlich and some other things too - to optimize your application.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If there is really not much to optimize you will need more ressources on (CPU and) RAM to handle it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Marcus&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a qvw that is 2.5 gb in size. When I try to open the file in qlikview it hangs my computer.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am on &lt;STRONG&gt;Windows 10&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Desktop Client: &lt;STRONG&gt;12.1 SR1&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;RAM on my computer: &lt;STRONG&gt;12GB Processing Power&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Note: I have been ale to access the application before. I can't believe that you use this amount of data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can try to compress the file with the 'High' option in Document properties, but with this set of data maybe you must try to delimit your data by dates (years for examples), do a clean of your data set removing the columns or data that you don't use it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
