Sorting probelm in the chart

Hi Guys,

I have checked posts about similar issue..but nothing seems to be working

I have a chart with dimension in the format 'MON-DD' . Now i have an issue with the sorting.

In the attached screen shot ,a date range of 2 years is selected(2009 - 2010).

Sorting happens like all 2 years january values first,after that feb values so on.

This is not what is expected.Expected sorting is all twelve months of 2009 first(sorted) after that 2010.

expression i m using is given below

=If(Date_From_All <=TSR_FROM_DTTM_S_M_INTL and Date_To_All >= TSR_FROM_DTTM_S_M_INTL,date(TSR_FROM_DTTM_S_M_INTL,'MMM-YY'))

It would be great if somebody can give me an idea how to do it

Hi,

your dimension should be

'YYY-MM-DD'

otherwise

days of january of 2009 and january of 2010 are both resulting in dimension jan-01, jan-02, ... jan-31

no matter what the year is.

So I think changing your dimension will solve it.
