Using Cognos framework as a source in qlikview

Hi All,

we are having a requirement where we need to use cognos framework as source in qlikview. Did anyone implement this, we need help in pulling the data into qlikview using cognos framework as source.

Well, a cognos framework is a bunch of xml files. You can try reading them in. It will be nearly useless for getting the actual data from the real data sources into Qlikview, but it might be an interesting waste of time.

Yes, you can use Motio's product Theia for this. It exposes Cognos packages and Cognos reports to Qlik and you can build your load process on top of it.

The advantage is that you can reuse the model work done in cognos and can easily bring self service BI to canned and bursted reports.
