my requirement is:

if i select a particular value of a chart,generally it gets impacted in all the sheets

i want it shudnt be affected in other sheets

how to do that.

Hi Shivali,

one way to do this is by using Alternate states.

1.Goto Document settings by CTRL+ALT+D

2.In general tab click on Alternate state and add new state (say State1).

3. Now open property window of your chart and in general tab select alternate state that you have created in document settings(State1).

Now whatever selections you make in the chart will be limited to objects which are using the same alternate state.

Use Alternate States in your chart. Like Click ctrl+ALt+D you will get Doc properties -> General Tab -> ....

Once you create an Alt State. Go to your chart properties -> General Tab -> Select the created Atl State.
