Dears ,

can you tell me what is the side effect if i didn't renew my license and my support with qlik.

my license is finished and i face many time performance issue and some time the files(QVW) are corrupted ; is this related to to license.

1. You can't perform major upgrades to later versions

2. you won't get support from Qlik

is this related to to license.

From the Server LEF's I have seen they appear to have an expiry date and am under the impression that when you reach that date the QV Server will stop operating. I have never tested that though, so may or may not be correct about that.

Notwithstanding that, if it does continue operating, I would not expect stopping your support would specifically affect performance or make qvw's corrupted.

You will though be in the unfortunate position such that cannot apply new releases / patches or get support from Qlik and it could well be that your issues have / will be sorted by Bug Fixes in releases.

HI Andrew,

some time the server no working and when the users login it is very slow . and the strange things that heppend with me some time i type a formula like in chart report and i need to format the formula in like (fraction or modify it it self) i can't find it and some time i found another formula .

and today some application not work and some of them not open (corrupted) .

Indeed, the LEF file has two important and different dates, and not all licenses have both, that depends directly on the purchase agreement at the time the licenses were bought:

TIMELIMIT;VALUE;;2017-01-30 - Product will return to unlicensed mode after this date (i.e.: QlikView Server will stop leasing licenses). Usually present in evaluation licenses or temporary licenses.
PRODUCTLEVEL;XX;;YYYY-MM-DD - versions released after this date will not work with this license. For example, if value is 2016-12-31 and QlikView 13 is released in February 2017, this version will not work with the current license and if you want to upgrade you will have to purchase a new license. This eventually means a loss of support when versions are discontinued and support no longer offered.

In any of those cases the apps will become corrupt nor performance will degrade.

If files are corrupted that is by no means an issue with the license. The issue might be that you are no eligible for official Qlik Support.

that is mean if my license is finish since 1 year i have to get a new one with a new contract.

but the application corruption not because the license , but i feel it's not stable because it is installed on H-VM station and the windows not updated to avoid the damage.

It could well be related to configuration of the hypervisor, especially if the QlikView environment has been moved there recently. QlikView works fine in virtual environments as long as these are set according to Qlik's best practices.
