Straight Tables - Remove Duplicate Row Labels

Hello all,

I'm using a straight table with 2 dimensions

1. Region

2. Sales Type

Currently the table looks like this:

Region1 | Sales Type1

Region1 | Sales Type2

Region1 | Sales Type3

Region2 | Sales Type1

Region2 | Sales Type2

etc.....

So the 1st dimension is repeated until the 2nd is exhausted.

Is there any way to stop dimension 1 repeating (visually), in the same way a pivot table would e.g.

Region1 | Sales Type1

| Sates Type2

| Sales Type3

Region2 | Sales Type1

etc.....

I'm using mini charts in the table so can't use a pivot table in this case

Any ideas?

Here is a workaround. Just set the background color for the dimension to the background color of the chart in case it's value is equal to the valoe of above row. See attached application sample

Darius,

If i now add a calculated dimension of = Dim1 & '-' & Dim2, to the straight table (i need to do this to solve another issue i have!)

This workaround stops working, any idea why?

Hi this is a useful feature for a straight table.

Howver it doesnt seem to work if user lists are selected. Do you know a way around this?

e.g. you can see from screensjots below that it doesnt work with user selection (RIGHT example).

I think there is a problem with BackgroundColor expression. If you attach an example application I could check.
