Hi,

in our company most of the named user licenses are leased from the server. However, there are still some users who have a local license key within their qlikview desktop client. We would like those users to use a named user licence derived from the server. We are searching for a solution that the local license is removed by, for example, a commandline argument, which automatically forces a "Clear License Information" in QlikView to force the users to use the server license method.

Is there any possibility to execute a "Clear License Information" command by using a command line argument?

Is there any other possibility like a registry update or the deletion of a file holding the license information?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Martin

I don't think you can do it from within QV launch. But if you can whack this file with some other tool:

"C:\Users\userid\AppData\Roaming\QlikTech\QlikView\Lef.txt"

you will effectively delete the local license.

-Rob

http://masterssummit.com

http://qlikviewcookbook.com
