Calculated values for the Maximum appearing String

Hi All,

I'm stucked at some calculation. As you can see in the below image (sample),

Each Sub Sector has a Competitor Name and Competitor Market Size.

So in the Total column,I've to show

Maximum no. of time, the Competitor value appeared as shown in the below image and
Sum of values for the above mentioned point as shown in the below image.

Could anyone please guide me on how to get this done? Also, please don't share a .qvw file as i'm on Local machine which has non-licensed version of QlikView Personal Edition. Please write the steps in comments.

Hi Zain,

For the total column, the calculation for competitor:

RangAvg(Sub sector 1, sub sector 2, *all the way to sub sector 11*)

remember you don't actually put in e.g. *sub sector 1* but you put in the calculation for sub sector 1.

2. For the second one, are you trying to find out the total for sub sector to 11 but for competitor market size?

No, as you can see in the Total column

The value C1 is displayed because, from Sub Sector 1 to Sub Sector 11 the Value C1 appeared maximum times and
The value 316.9 is the values under competitor C1 only which is then summed up.

It sounds like this is really tricky to do on Sense, let me speak to few colleagues and if i get anything back, i'll let you know

You can have a chart much similar to one you posted except the Total Field. The values in total can be displayed in text boxes though.

Attaching a sample qlikview document for your reference(might be helpful to you).

Hey! could you please send the expressions in .doc format or plain text format. The reason is, I'm currently working on non licensed version and I can't open the attached document
