    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think you should be able to use RangeSum() which would still sum if one or more columns have numeric value&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;RangeSum(Column(1), Column(2), Column(3))&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If for example, a particular row have&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;10, NA, 10, the above expression will give you 20&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="Capture.PNG" class="jive-image image-1" src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/159801_Capture.PNG" style="height: auto;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a simple way to replace a "0"&amp;nbsp; amount with a string in an expression.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Once the string is in place I assume there is no way to add columns using column names because it won't effectively add columns that have strings in them?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Zag&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
