Split Quarter information in month

Hi,

I need to calculate some information in monthly basis.

What I have is a field called [Ppto Moneda Local] (is a number and show spend of the company per purchase order. Then I have a field called Q1 (Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4) that is a number between 0 - 1. When I multiply [Ppto Moneda Local]*Q1 I have the spend on the quarter, so I can get the spend by quarter.

I would like a create a new field but in monthly basis, we can call it SpendMonth:

For the month Jan SpendMonth must be [Ppto Moneda Local]*Q1/3

For the month Feb SpendMonth must be [Ppto Moneda Local]*Q1/3

For the month Mar SpendMonth must be [Ppto Moneda Local]*Q1/3

but for Apr must be [Ppto Moneda Local]*Q2/3 and so on....

How can I do that? Thansk so much in advance!

I advice you to create a master Calendar, in which you can create different fields based on your date field. You can find good example by link:http://community.qlik.com/media/p/113268.aspx
