    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Short question.&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG style="color: #0000ff;"&gt;Is there a simple way to tell qlikview to IGNORE case sensitivity of column names &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN style="color: #0000ff;"&gt;&lt;EM&gt;(not data, dont care the about data)&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG style="color: #0000ff;"&gt; on user-submitted source excel files when loading a script? &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;STRONG style="color: #0000ff;"&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="font-size: 13.3333px;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Thanks&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P style="font-size: 13.3333px;"&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;JJ&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;-------------------------------------------------------&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;FWIW, I've exhausted the community, google, etc and I am afraid the answer is no, but wanted to check for sure.&amp;nbsp; applying "UPPER" or "force case" etc.. do not work for COLUMN NAMES...they just apply to the data itself.&amp;nbsp; My users keep submitting fat-fingered excel column headers like [FIeld 1], [SAle 1], etc...where the second letter is capitalized while qlikview is ONLY looking for [Field 1], [Sale 1] and despite hours of testing upper, force case, temp tables, and scouring the web, i cant find a simple answer.&amp;nbsp; id be shocked if qv12 didnt have some way to account for this--it has to be common issue, no? &lt;IMG src="https://community.qlik.com/legacyfs/online/emoticons/sad.png" /&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;This has been driving me nuts.&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi James,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You are right the answer is No. But I would like to tell you that you can use the load * statement to load whatever field name user has given.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That way it wont fail to load the script.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Kaushik Solanki&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
