List Box Expression Issue

Hello.

We are using QV 8.5. I have attached a sample application to demonstrate the issue I am having. In the application I load an internal table with four records (DEPT and USER). I have created a list box that uses an expression to only show users that belong to DEPT 1.

When the application was first loaded, I had three users set to DEPT 1 - ABC, GHI and JKL. The list box displayed the correct data. I changed the input table such that USER JKL was changed to DEPT 3. I reloaded the data yet the list box still shows USER JKL. If I create a new list box with the same expression, only ABC and GHI will show.

Any ideas why this is happening.

I tried it out on my QlikView 8.5.6326.5 64-bit, and I can't reproduce the same problem - every time I change the Dept. and reload, the list box is being updated accurately.

Check if you are on the latest service release of 8.5, - just in case...

Thanks for your reply. We are currently on QV 8.50.6085.4.

I opened the release notes for SR5 and sure enough one of the major bug fixes is #17245 - List Box Field Expression. I will upgrade to the latest sevice pack and this should resolve my issue.

Do you know where or if I can get a more detailed description of the bug?

I'm not sure if it's possible to get detailed descriptions of the bugs - ask support if it's possible...

I talked to support and was informed that there is not a more detailed description of the bugs.
