When the term AQL was used, it stood for "Associative Query Logic", i.e. the logic that the QIX engine uses internally. It did not refer to the script language. But it had little relevance to the technical design of QlikView. So, please don't use the term AQL.

Just refer to the script language as "Qlik Script".

HIC

Hi

I was going through the discussions in community regarding the same.

I found AQL

and the explanation by hic

and in another discussion its written "Qlikview uses it's own language, AQL, to manipulate tables once the data is loaded into Qlikview. AQL is directed at the needs of Qlikview, and it is very powerful and flexible for Qlikview use. It is however, different than SQL, and some some study and training is required."

Please clarify Do we use the term AQL any longer or not or is it a non technical term.

So what do we call the language used to write the scripts in QlikView

Thanks

Ankita
