QlikView Management Service Not Running

Hello,

I installed SMB QV Server with the option to use the QV Web Server. The QV Management Service will not run. Every time I try to start the service, it would stop within 3 seconds. All other services are running except for the Distribution Service due to the fact that Publisher is not being used. I created a new user specifically for QV Server and it is in the QlikView Administrator group.

HI,

Make sure all the services are running under same credential.

Can you please share the screenshot of services info.

you can stop all services and then start one by one

go task manager ->select service -> end task

and again start service

Running the command “lodctr /R to rebuild the performance counters in .NET from the cmd prompt as administrator resolved the problem.

Hello again,

I thought the issue was resolved using a cmd prompt command lodctr /R. However, when I reboot the server the problem occurs again. The user account I am using is a local admin and it is in the QlikView Administrator Group. Below are the event log messages of the error.

I'm not sure at this point what is causing this issue.

Use delayed start for the services. Make sure you have the ports open and no antivirus. Make sure you have .net 4.0 installed.

Hi Alec Smith,

I had the same problem, but I solved only applying the upgrade of .net framework, my server had the framework 4.0 and I updated to framework 4.2.5.

Please let me know if you can solve this problem.

Hi there,

I am trying to install qlikview management server on windows 2016 . As a prerequsite i have installed dotnet 4.7.2

During installation it doesnt thrown any error. but the its not getting displayed in the service neither i coundt see the any folders that got created after installation.

Could you guys let me know if you know any?
