    <description>&lt;P&gt;text(num(mont(T_Date),'00'))... but not entirely sure you really want that...&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;how about :&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;date(monthstart(T_Date),'YYYYMM')&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; as TD_YM&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;like that your date field remains a date (and numerical)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;This way you may see something that you can play with, many times you have to use more than one function as you were trying to do to get what you really want, but I think the poster above is on a good track here.&lt;/P&gt;
