problem with bookmarks

hello

we have an application on which bookmarks have been created.

after modifying this application, these bookmarks are already there but don't do any selection whene applied.

if we copy the old version, everything comes normal.

So, I have 2 questions :

which elements of design affect the bookmarks ?

how to view the content of bookmark created wia Web Client ?

Does any filters get applied when you apply bookmark in old version?

check current selections box

yes,

when I apply the bookmark on old version, somes selections are made and are visible.

it doesn't appear with new version.

I have already checked the fields of the 2 versions and no one has disappeared.

but the problem is that we have hidden fields

so I would like to view all the selections made by the bookmark ot export it from the shared file

bookmarks can be exported into an xml.
and you can check it there.

in qlikview desktop
Bookmarks-->Export
select the ones you want and save

it works for bbokmark created via desktop,

but not for those created in web and stored in shared file

so bookmark is working with new version even on desktop. is that right?

Are you web clients using ajax? or IE plugin?

hello

clients are using ajax

they create bookmarks with ajax client (not desktop) Desktop is used only for development

bookmarks created on old version do not work on new one (you can click on them but no selection is visible in selection list)

the problem comes from a new field added in the model with the option "always 1 selected value"

knowing that, it is clearly writtem in qv doc that this may cause problem.

the workaround should be something like :

when i select a value in the field, thsi value replaces all previously selected value

I wanted to circle back to answer your question regarding seeing bookmark info in shared/tshared file, you can use the Shared File Viewer Power Tool in order to export the contents to an XML file as the other posted mentioned for the Desktop client.

Regarding the Always 1 selected, pretty sure that should be working as expected, and it sounded like you had found something that stated as much too. I checked the Help myself, and I think I see the note to which you were referring above, posting link for others that may need that in the future.

List Box Always One Selected Value...

Need to scroll down a bit, but there is a note on the feature:

Enabling this option modifies the data model. As a result, existing bookmarks may stop working even if you retain the same field names.

Hopefully this covers everything.

the problem comes from a field added with "always 1 value selected" after the creation of the bookmarks.

the solution is to remove this option anf find a way to always set a value .....
