How can I keep table rows together when sorting?

Hello,

Relative QV newbie here. I am designing an application in QV 9 SR5. I want to have a table of data but need to keep rows together by the first columns values as the table is sorted.

So, the raw data might look like this:

Column1 Column2 Column3

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

AA 11 1111

AA 22 2222

AA 33 3333

BB 12 1212

CC 44 4444

CC 55 5555

That would be the default sort order shown to the user, by the way. They are allowed then to sort by any column. If they sort by Column2 or 3 though, I want all of the "AA" rows, all of the "BB" rows, etc... to stay together as a set.

I assume this is possible but have not yet found a method. I've looked at Table objects and Straight Table charts but no luck.
