Email alert to local security group

Hi,

I want to send an email-alert in case a certain condition is met in the application. This works if I specify single email-addresses, but can I also send an alert to local security groups (thus not having to specify single users)?

Nigel, security group would NOT work as far as I know, you would have to use a Distribution Group in this case in order for things to work I believe.

Depending upon where you are trying to do things could have an impact as well, I would also check the Help to confirm there too. The only two things of which I can think you are trying to do is the Alert Email in the QMC:

The other one would be the Alerts within a QVW app:

I see nothing in either that say you cannot use groups, but again, you need to use a Distribution Group, not a Security Group, as the Security Group is not going to resolve via the Email Server, at least I would not expect it to do so from what I know.
