      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a local SQL Server Database file (Data.mdf) and a local SQL Server Log file (Log.mdf).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What driver do I use to set up ODBC connections?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I tried SQL Server, following steps as this page &lt;A href="http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/ODBC-connection-error-t188228.html"&gt;http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/ODBC-connection-error-t188228.html&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But I am still facing errors, please see attached files.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Could someone please tell me how to set up .mdf and .ldf step by step?       <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can't connect directly to these files, they need to be attached to a running SQL server.&amp;nbsp; I believe it is possible to attach these files to an existing SQL Server instance.&amp;nbsp; You will need to search for how to do that on Microsoft's knowledgebase - it is not something I have had to do for some time now.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- Steve&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
