I would like to be able to display details on a separate sheet for an entry selected on another sheet

To illustrate I downloaded the helpdesk management demo

You are likely going to have to supply a sample QVW with some data etc. in order to get responses on this one. The best I could offer would be you are likely going to need to use Set Analysis to do this, and here are some links on that:

So in the objects on the other sheet, you would need to use Set Analysis with fetching the value of the selection(s) in the field from the other sheet etc. Here is the base Design Blog link too which you can use to search further if you want to try to find other examples there:
