ODBC Connection to Impala Cloudera in Extension Jscript

Hi,
has anyone connected to Cloudera through the Qlikview (not QS) Extension (and not in load script) in their Jscript code? im looking for a way to query bigdata inside the extension and not through the load script. for now we can use only OBDC. wish to know how to define the conn string

Have you considered using the Direct Discovery functionality?

hi thanks for the message, yes weve tested that and it does work. the problem we encountered was bec we had a long dimension list, the initial burst of queries from QlikView raised flags on impala side and later policies were put in place preventing us from using direct query so we are looking for work arounds and this is one potential we are looking at
