All field names must be written in uppercase in section access

hi,

is this necessary that all the field name in section access must be in uppercase? if yes then can anybody explain me why?

Hello Saloni,

Section access must requires all field names and values to be uppercase. We need to use Uppercase only left of INLINE tables, where the conversion in QlikView itself.

It's been like this for a long time, and will be for the time being. When you LOAD your section access table, no matter where you are getting and from, all fields and values must be uppercase. But when you are initiate prompt, you can enter your name either uppercase or lowercase(Don't need as much what source have - I meant we can use either Upper or Lower characters), and likewise your password, and that will work as far as QlikView is concerned.

PS - UPPERCASE is must as always
