how can i write action on each bar in a bar chart?do i need to use each textbox for each bar

What type of action you want to perform on selection of bar??

May be assign an action based on the field that correspond to your axis. A sample with expected output can be easier to explain

We don't have the option to write action on the bars ...you need to write the Trigger action on the field selection i.e whenever you select a bar it will in turn select a dimension (unless your build a bar chart without dimension)

based on the dimension selection execute the triggers

so the requirement is on clicking each location it should bring me next sheet and should show only that particular location current and pervious score....so i need to write action on each bar

Action on bar isn't possible, but action based on selection in location field is possible. But the problem is that anytime you select a location it would trigger the action. It won't be restricted to selection in the chart (unless you have it in an alternate state)

Dimension shows there what is bar, QV wont allows you to write on each Bar, dimension is there to decide to know what it is....
