cant able open work file

Hello All

one of my friend had send me a work file when i tried to open,it throwing me an error says even though i got a licence version qilkview application

The document c:\user\qdash.qvw failed to load

is that because the one who send the work file had not checked that relative path thing?

when some one send work file do this relative path has to me checked or unchecked?

If that Qvw havng Section access also it will not open

and

if u reload this application also will not work.

Nothing to do with the relative path setting, that only comes into play when reloading, not when the QVW document is opened. It looks like the file is corrupt or is not a QVW file, or you are excluded by the secion access settings. I suggest that you ask your friend to check for section access and reload the file is necessary and to send you the file again.

I think the file got corrupted. You can try opening it without data. See the the below

or else You can take a fresh copy from your friend. Make sure that Section access not applied.

Document relative Path has no relation with the document opening ...

1.Check with the size of the file and your RAM availability

2. The document might have got corrupted

you are excluded by the secion access settings.

he said he didn't implemented section access,but still if i need him to check were exactly he will find this settings

Corrupted mean the file might have got infected by virus etc ...

If your friend is able to open the file in his desktop ask him to resend again(without zipping ) and try to open .

Try opening the QVW with SHIFT key being pressed.

Try to open the qvw without data. Start page->recent->Right click on qvw ->Open <your qvw> without data.

Which version ur friend using and ur using which version?

the one i am using is qlikvew11 and 32 bit version as my OS is 32 bit ...will it makes any difference if he using

qlikview11 and 64 bit version
