in which scenario we should use join

in which scenario we should use concatenation

This is a very wide argument, I'll try to do an extreme syntesis:

Join (Left, Right, Inner, Outer) is used when you need to link a table to another table according to one or more fields.

Concatenate is a "Union" of 2 or more tables where rows from the second table are queued to the first table.

No concatenate is uset to keep a set of data (loaded with Load or Select) distincted by another equal set of data previously loaded.
