      <title>Books on QlikView by packtpub</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;does anyone have experience with the books on QlikView offered at packtpub_publishing or elsewhere? - actually I would prefer the O'Reilly_publishing because they don't use DRM, but they don't seem to have anything on QlikView?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I would like to learn more on the subject to be able to make still better apps:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- I have "QlikView 11 for Developers", which I find an excellent&amp;nbsp; book for both QlikView_beginners and experienced developers - there's&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp; always something new.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- I have been working in my current role as QlikView developer/ GUI_designer/ admin in March.&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp; =&amp;gt; Before that, i have already had four years of experience with a similar tool - focused on data_analysis, though, not on the&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; presentation_side&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anybody give me a hint as to which of the available publications might be recommendable for me?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks a lot!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;DataNibbler&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi there,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I read the book during production - as I was one of the technical review team.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is quite a bit of the book that looks at setting up Publisher tasks and things which don't exist in standard Server (eg. external tasks), and also having a multi server installation - which you would not do with SBE.&amp;nbsp; However, it does make it clear when it is venturing into Publisher only territory and there is still a lot of very worthwhile material just on the Server components.&amp;nbsp; It would be good for helping you decide whether an upgrade to the other components is going to be worth it as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don't believe the $5 offer is still going on - but they do have frequent offers on so keep an eye out if you want to save a a bit on the list price.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope that helps,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Steve&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

What a pity - just saw it today.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'll be on the lookout for the next promotion coming along.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I think that one would make sense and so would the one on scripting. At the moment I don't really have time to look at optimizing my apps - we are still in the general buildup_phase and since there's virtually only me to do it, it takes time - but optimizing does make sense, doing as much as possible in the script and keeping the charts and GUI as simple as possible.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That's basically what I did in my last job, saving runtime by the second and minute - and then the first colleague came along with an SSD drive &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":winking_face:"&gt;😉&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;DataNibbler&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
