How to develop data model for Finance Dashboard ?

Hello Experts,

I am new to qlikview world but have some hands on experience after learning the tutorial.

I would like to hear what shoulb be consider while developing data model for Finance Dashboard ?

What should be consider and what should not ?

I have been through with the Finance Controlling sample dashboard but could not get the clear area.

Your views and ideas are most welcome. It is little urgent so I need your help.

Like developing any software, the starting point has to be to understand the business objectives. These will drive the solution. Data modelling in Qlikview is really no different from any other BI tool. Therefore you should do some research into typical data models. A good book is The data warehouse toolkit check out chapters 7 (accounting) and 9 (Finical Services)

Any more details info like how many facts, diemensions, how to manage date, what reports should be display !!
