Access Related: Security Settings

Hi All,

My Section Access is like this:

LOAD * INLINE

[

ACCESS, NTNAME

ADMIN, 123

USER, 456

];

I wanted this thing: 456 should not be able to create a new object(since 456 is USER), but 123 should be able to create a new object( since 123 is ADMIN)

Your feedback is important to me. . .

You can set the rights that a user can have in Settings>Document>Security, though this only limits access to create sheets.

You can also change the rights on the Server management console System>Setup>Server>Documents>Allow server objects (QVS v10 SR4)

jonbroughavone Thanks for your efforts, but it won't fulfil my requirement.

The setting that you mentioned is for all the users, but what I wanted is- Admin should be able to create new object, but USER should not.

Thanks for ur efforts. . .

Simple thing: I have 500 users, out of them. only 4 users(EmpID: 123,546,257,586) should be able to create new objects on sheet, rest should not.(Right Click on blank area of the sheet--> New Sheet Object--->ListBox, Tablebox, Chart etc.......should be enabled for above 4 users, for rest of them, it should be disabled)

Hi,

Go to Settings -> DOcument Properties -> then go to security tab

There you can manage that options.

Hi Pls Try below process:

First create inline table

Then through admin ids u should select Setting---Document Properties--Security

Then clik on sheet Properties security

and disselect buttons.

Now u can check User cant be modified ur application.excluding 4 Admin.

It is acessable for admin users only.

Above reply will work in local system. If u r working in server,then just give Named Cal Licenses

to developer and give user to Doc Cal Licenses.

All users are not working in server.so through Doc Cal Licenses user can't be modified.

If u want to give Application tab wise security,then u need to create another security table in server.
