Hi all,

I have one issue with stright table.

i ave applied trigger on that. but when i select any one value in that table it is reflecting to next sheet.

but my req is ...wen i select dimension it should go to perticular sheet. other than any selection it should behave lik table only.?

how can i achieve this.

Try with the alternate state .. that will help you to keep the selection to certain objects or pages

Month dimension is used with alternate states.

but my senario is diffrnt.

In my table i shud use trigger to redirect to one perticular sheet and any other selections done in that table it shud nt allow to select . it shud acts as a normal table?

I hope it is not possible, the reason is

When you select expression column, measure will be calculated based on the dimension (internally dimension will be selected). consequently your trigger is working..

a small workaround to overcome this situation, change all the expressions to calculated dimensions.

you have to do aggr() based on all listed dimensions in the table..

Other Expressions means in your case saying about other dimension fields like project and Dim ..dimensions ?

i hve only one dimension .....remaing all r expressions in my table.

REQ:is only dimension selects that trigger work othr than trigger wnt work for that.

Edit:

Just i created the textbox with 100% transparency and layered on top of straight table. You can uncheck your 'size to data'.

but i was tried that one its wrkng exctly with the requirment.

But in future the data or epressions,or table values increase ?

for evrytym we need to increase the size of text object ryt?

so...is there any other alternate? please let me knw?

May be you can set your straight table with certain limit (uncheck the Allow move / size and Size to data). Then you can apply the TextBox. So, if you added more dimension/expression, it would fit into the straight table .

but we cnt expect how much data user wants to add ryt....so that is nt exct way to restrict that table i think...

they are not agreed wit this......

HI,

You can disable expression selections

select the representation as link for all expressions

please see the attachment
