topic Limit extent for slider scale in QlikView

I am considering using a slider scale to select a date range (using a field as data and using Multi-Value mode). Selectable dates in my data may cover 3-4 years or more. In most cases, the date range to be selected will be within the most recent 4-6 months. Is there any way to restrict the display on the slider, as trying to display several years is impractical.

Thanks

If you use a field instead of variables you don't get to limit the range. If you use variables then you can. See this video tutorial: Selecting Arbitrary Date Ranges
