Lost connection to server

Hi All,

I getting frequently below error.

I have checked below post also

Can you please tell why this is happening. Every time I faced this issue and whenever I do selection on any fields like year month it is showing me processing and after some minute its come out to first sheet of application.

Hi,

The most possible reason is the application is in need of more RAM then what you currently have.

You should also look forward to optimize your application to utilize less RAM.

I am not able to do increase qvstimeout setting its show me "access denied" where as I am using admin login

HI,

It seems that you have large amount of data as compared to RAM capacity.

Either try to optimize the data as much as you can or you need to increase the RAM capacity,

It will solve your problem..

Could you please send me the screenshot, where you are trying to change the qvstimeout setting?

And make sure you have authorized person to make the changes otherwise you can update the qvstimeout by QMC admin team.

As per your RAM usage i understood one thing either u selected big time intervals so that it throws this type of issue

->Try to diereses the data Archive

->May be it happens Circular loop or n number of Synthetic tables.Try to avoid these

Has this changed recently or has this application always had performance problems?

Can you post an image of the table viewer as your problems may be due to a poor data model.

If your tables are not properly associated your expressions may be causing Cartesian joins to be created causing the poor performance.

Usually performance issues can be resolved by a well designed data model rather than the altering system configuration.

You probably need to stop the service, open the file as admin, do your Changes, restart the service.

I stop all services and triying changes in qvs time out but again it is showing below error. As I am admin but still its showing ...

It's a permission thing and Notepad doesn't do the admin rights thing. A simple work around is to copy the file to another folder, amend the file, and copy it back to replace the original file.
