Lock field on sheet trigger not working

I have set variable, select in field and lock field Onactivate sheet trigger, on sheet A,

But if I go to sheet B do some selections, then go back to sheet A the lock field does not show in my selections criteria.

Is this normal?

Or have I set something I shouldn't have. Please can someone guide me.

probably the "select in field" doesn't work, because if the value exists and you select in the field that value than you can lock it otherwise you see nothing as it happens

on the on exit sheet action unlock the field ....

a locked field cannot be unlocked by doing selections

you need an Action (like unlock field, unlock and clear all) or manually unlock field

when you Change to sheet B do you see the locked field?

post sample so we can further help you

I have got no trigger like this onexit sheet only on activate sheet.

maybe this is the Problem:

you are doing something on sheet a e.g set variable (as you explained)

then you select the field using your variable

then you goto sheet b and do some selections

one of the selections Drops the selection of your field which you want to lock

you Change to sheet a (whenthe Trigger should fire), but there is not selection on your field and locking doesnot

work

try this:

goto sheet a, define your variable and set your field

now goto current selection box, select your field, right mouse click AND LOCK your field

then goto sheet, do whatever you need to do and goback to sheet a

NOW your field MUST still be locked!

Thank you this worked locking the selections on sheet A and then changing to sheet B entering selections and then return back to sheet A, the display shows for the previous selection, but when you press clear the lock selection stay.
