How to change the Label Sort Order of Cyclic Group

Hi All,

I am very new to QlikView and am trying to make modifications to a dashboard/report previously created by one who knows it very well.

The report has 6 charts that are Cyclic Charts. The sort order of the charts themselves are fine, but I don't know how to re-order the chart labels? Say the default chart that appears when the report tab is clicked on is A and then when the icon is clicked you see B, C, D, E, F... I would like change the order so that the default chart is D and then when the icon is clicked you see A, B, C, E, F...

How would I go about making this change?

Hi Heather,

go to document settings and select the groups tab, you will see the cyclical group listed in this tab, select the one you want and press edit, then promote/demote the order to the one you require

Up to my understanding, there is only one chart with multiple expressions included in cyclic group.

If this is the scenario, go to the expression tab, open the Cyclic group, promote/demote the expressions as per the requirement.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for your reply. When I click on Settings > Document Properties > Groups and select the Group > Edit. I get Sort options for the specific Group Chart. But it doesn't allow me to Promote or Demote the Groups.

So basically, following as you stated: It allows me to Promote/Demote the Dimensions within Label D, but it doesn't let me make Label D become the default chart on the Report Tab.

Does that make sense? Am I able to attach a screenshot to show what I see vs. what I need to do?

You can promote or demote items in the cyclic:

You need to click on edit and then select a field in the used fields box.
