Ipad compatible font

In my app I have used chr(112) & chr(113) in Wingdings3 font to show an up or down arrow. However, when viewed on an ipad it shows as a 'p' and a 'q'. Which font should I use which is also compatible for an ipad?

These don't really answer my questions specifically for the symbols I am using. Is there a font set for symbols that works with iOS

I'm not really sure. What all you have to do is use standard fonts.

you can try by selecting different fonts.
