I have a table of all the program references in our live AS/400 environment, and it looks something like this:

Program Reference + umpteen other less important fields

Pgm A Pgm B
Pgm B Pgm C
Pgm B Pgm D
Pgm C Pgm E
Pgm D Pgm F
Pgm E Pgm F

Is there a way of manipulating the load so that I can display the highest level parent for any selected program? For instance if a user selects Pgm C I want to immediately be able to display Pgm A (Pgm C is called by Pgm B which is called by Pgm A).

The HIERARCHY LOAD function will do this nicely.
