If this is chart background, sorry to say, it's not possible in QliKView.

Of Course, You can create a background with similar size and use it in this chart but there is not direct way.

You could overlay the chart with another (using clear background and layer settings)

I did answer a questions similar a while ago which you could adapt to your needs (attached)

if you have a static y you can try adding a fixed number of expression (I add 4 expression with 2 different background color, stacked)
