Special characters Issue with Oracle Provider for OLEDB driver

Hi All,

I am using "Oracle Provider for OLEDB driver " Special characters in database are showing as junk characters.

I have tried using CodePage option in connection string for Oem and Unicode but still it is not working.

I am not getting UTF-8 and mac as options for me.

Can any one guide me how can i display special characters .

I'm having the same issue, but could not find a solution. Did you manage to find a way around this?

Hey There,

The only solution I found till date is replace the driver with Microsoft Oracle Driver and it worked .

But I am still working on this as this is not acceptable to business 😞

You sure it's OLEDB problem and not the codepage on your windows server? Do you have correct code pages installed for the language you are dealing with? For example, I had to install asian codepage on the server when working with chinese characters once.

Just a thought.

You may want to dump data in a text file and have that text file open in another laptop to see the contents. By the way, this QV app you are developing is on a Windows server or your laptop? Which OS?
