topic Passing return code from an external program in QlikView

Hello!

I'm searching for a way to execute an external program (PERL script) from Qlikview and evaluate the return code in Qlikview.

The program can either be invoked through Qlikview Server/Publisher as a "Supporting task" or with EXECUTE statement from the script. In first case it would be sufficient if task is declared "failed" by QV Publisher if certain return (exit) code is generated by the program. In case of EXECUTE statement it is preferable to read the actual returned value.

Any ideas are welcome! Thanks.
